Ugyanúgy, mint az előző rész ez is a barátságról, a szeretetről, a reményről és családról szól. Ugyanúgy megtalálunk egy relikviát, ami közelebb visz Pitch legyőzéséhez, de elárulom, hogy ez a valami nem egy csodafegyver, valami sokkal összetettebb és gyönyörű mondanivalója van.

A könyv első felében a Lunar Lamadaryban Ombric felfedez egy időutazó gépet, és hát nem is Ombric lenne, ha nem akarna A) visszautazni és mindent megtudni Pitchről (PITCH, MIÉRT TÖRTED ÖSSZE A SZÍVEM?) B) ha nem akarná megmenteni Pitchet (PITCH, MIÉRT AKAROD, HOGY SÍRJAK?) De:

Találkoznak az idő, az univerzum és a MINDEN őrzőjével, aki a mi Nyulunk és szent meggyőződésem, hogy A) a filmben végig be volt állva B) vagy annyira megváltozott végre. A Húsvéti Nyúl magányos, megölték az egész családját és faját és ezért keresi az elszigeteltségben a választ, és ezért sem mer kötődni senkihez. Természetesen Katherine, Ombric és North ezen változtatnak és most ő rajta volt az ellágyulás és beilleszkedés sora.

Pitch: Végre már majdnem a teljes háttértörténetét megtudtuk. Láttuk jóként harcolni és elbukni, ÉS MIÉRT FÁJ ENNYIRE? A könyv vége egyenesen kegyetlen volt, és elvonulok sírni a sarokba.

A harmadik kötet elején jöttem rá, hogy nagyon szeretem ezt a sorozatot. Olyan igazi mese, ami mellé jó kakaót inni, és amiről simán el tudom képzelni, hogy klasszikussá váljon (a könyvek kortól, nemtől, és trendektől teljesen függetlenek). És mennyivel jobb már, hogy H. Úsvéti Nyúl meg Nicholas St. North hősködnek (akik egyébként sokkal menőbbek, mint ahogy képzelnénk őket), nem valami bugyuta latexruhás paprikajancsik, vagy külsőrezorddebeülnagyonérzékenyvagyok szépfiúk.
Majd lehet írok rendes értékelést is, ez most csak egy megjegyzés volt.

A történet ott folytatódott, ahol az első rész befejeződött. Én először azt hittem, hogy mindegyik könyv egy-egy őrző történetét mutatja be, de tévedtem. Az első kötetben megismert szereplők tovább harcolnak a gonosz ellen és ebbe a csatába E. Aster Bunnymund is becsatlakozott a sok csokijával és a tojás harcosaival együtt. Nagyon szerethető volt ez a rész is, habár nekem még mindig az első a kedvencem. Olyan gyerekkönyv, amit felnőttként is kézbe vehet az ember, mert ugyanolyan élvezetes olvasni. Ez a rész pedig kifejezetten humoros volt, többször is azon kaptam magam, hogy hangosan kuncogtam rajta. Egyre jobban kibontakoznak a szereplők, a világuk és a múltjuk is. Én már nagyon várom, hogy elolvassam a következő részt.

On one wall North and Katherine saw a picture of a familiar green and blue planet, only it was egg-shaped, not round.
“Is that supposed to be Earth?” Katherine asked.
Bunnymund traced the image reverently.
“Yes, many zillions of years ago,” he answered. “At that time it was egg-shaped. Unfortunately, ovals have an unstable orbit. If left unchecked, the planet would have swirled closer and closer to the sun and eventually been cooked like a hard-boiled egg.”

North was new to the concept, but he was keenly aware of its possibilities, and Katherine, the youngest, was, in this case, the wisest.
