Two worlds of wealth and passion call to Nora Sutherlin and, whichever one she chooses, it will be the hardest decision she will ever have to make. Unless someone makes it for her…

Wes Railey is the object of Nora's tamest yet most maddening fantasies, and the one man she can't forget. He's young. He's wonderful. He's also thoroughbred royalty and, reuniting with him in Kentucky, she's in his world now. But this infamous New York dominatrix is no simpering Southern belle, and Nora's dream of fitting into Wesley's world is perpetually at odds with the relentlessly seductive pull of Søren – her owner, her lover, the forever she cannot have. At least, not completely.

Meanwhile Nora's associate Kingsley Edge is only too happy to take her place at Søren's feet during her hiatus. Søren is the only man Kingsley has ever loved, and their dark, shared history has forged a bond that neither the years – nor Søren's love for Nora – can break. But a new threat from an old… (tovább)

Tiffany Reisz: The Prince

„Absurd, wasn’t it? Treasuring bruises as if they were gold? Madness. And yet, so true.”

Ez a könyv mindegyik. Zúzódás testeden-lelkeden és egy valódi aranykincs a tarsolyban, melyet életed végéig dédelgetsz, őrzöl, szeretsz.♥

"But this was more than love. He couldn’t think of the word for it—not l’amour, not la passionla vie. It was the closest word to what he felt that he could find.
La vie."

Tiffany Reisz: The Prince

Tiffany Reisz: The Prince

Tiffany Reisz: The Prince

“What are you praying for, mon ami?” Kingsley had asked.
“What I’ve been praying for every day since I met you,” Stearns said, twisting the beads around his hand.
“And what is that?”
Stearns opened his hand to display the rosary beads he’d weaved between his fingers like a spiderweb.

Reaching up to his neck, Søren pulled off his Roman collar. He stepped back into Kingsley’s bedroom and locked the door behind him.
God closed His eyes.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to my Portuguese.”
“You’re learning Portuguese, too?” Kingsley asked. “How many languages do you speak?”
“I’m bilingual. What do they call someone like you?”
Stearns arched an eyebrow at him. “Intelligent.”

“Stop staring at me, Kingsley,” Søren said as he turned his eyes from the road outside the window to Kingsley’s face.
“I’ve been staring at you for thirty years. You should be used to it by now, mon ami.”

“Don’t hate her,” Søren ordered. “It’s me who hurt you. Hate me.”
“Don’t worry, mon ami,” Kingsley said to Søren. “I do.”

“Why did you chase me?” Kingsley asked, still not turning around.
“Because you ran.”
“Do you know why I ran from you?”
“Because you wanted me to catch you.”
Kingsley laughed and didn’t deny it.
“Did you know you would rape me when you caught me?”
“Are we really calling it rape?” Søren asked, his voice tinged with dark amusement.
“What else shall we call it?”
“It’s hardly rape when you wanted it.”
“You didn’t know that at the time, though, did you?”[…]
“You stared at me constantly, followed me everywhere I went. You watched me sleep, Kingsley.”
“How did you know that?”
Kingsley shivered as Søren’s laugh rippled through the woods.
“I watched you watch me.”

“You are still the most beautiful creature on God’s earth,” Kingsley said, meaning every word.
“I hated how you stared at me.” […]
“And why is that?”
“Because,” Søren said, bending his regal head the four inches that separated them, “it made it impossible for me to stare back.”

“Always…” Søren glanced away again, glanced upward and sighed. “I’ve always wanted to believe God made me this way for a reason.”
“Je suis la raison.”
“Ma raison d’être,” Søren whispered, and Kingsley shivered with need.

“Your powers of imagination disappeared when your writer disappeared. Perhaps you should go fetch her from her new rich young lover.”
“I have an excellent imagination.” Søren stood face-to-face with Kingsley,[…] “I’m currently imagining a few creative ways of causing you extraordinary amounts of pain.”
Kingsley raised his chin. Mere inches separated their faces.
“Stop flirting. You know we don’t have time for that.”
“I wasn’t flirting. The pain I’d inflict on your right now…only one of us would enjoy it.”
“Only one of us ever did.”
“Don’t make me laugh. You begged for it. Night after night, you begged for it.”
“Of course I did. Pain is the only way you know how to show love.”
“It’s not the only way I know how to show love. It’s the only way I chose to with you. You showed up at Saint Ignatius and decided to become king of the school. Someone had to turn you into the little prince you actually were.”
“Not so little. I think we’re rather well-matched in one certain area.”
“Your arrogance, Kingsley, was beyond and is beyond anything I’d ever seen in my life.”
“Anything you’ve ever seen outside your own reflection, you mean.”
“You’re trying to pick a fight with me. It won’t work.”
“It already has. You’ve already threatened to cause me bodily harm. I’m already hard. I think it’s safe to call this one of our typical arguments.”
“I’m leaving now.”
“Good night, sir.”
