No one ever said being a princess was easy.

Just when Mia thought she had the whole Princess thing under control, things get out of hand, fast. First there's an unexpected announcement from her mother. Then Grandmère arranges a national primetime interview for the brand-new crown princess of Genovia. On top of that, intriguing, exasperating letters from a secret admirer begin to arrive.

Before she even has the chance to wonder who those letters are from, Mia is swept up in a whirlwind of royal intrigue the likes of which hasn't been seen since volume I of The Princess Diaries.

Take Two és A Royal Disaster címmel is megjelent.

Izgalommal várom a következő fejezetet.

Sokkal jobb volt, mint az első kötet. Vagy csak jó időben talált meg. Pont ilyen vissza az időben (suliba) hangulatom van, és ez tökéletesen kielégítette az igényeimet. Teljesen együtt tudtam érezni Miával, nekem is hasonló kaliber a nagymamám. Olyan 9milis Winchester Magnum.
A lényeg, hogy jöhet a folytatás!

Nagyon aranyos folytatás, felüdítő limonádé. Kifejezetten tetszett Mia apukájának az ábrázolása, sokat nőt a szememben, ahogy Mia szemében is. :)

Only two things make my dad nervous. One is my mother.
And the other is his mother.

“Do you think your grandmère is going to like that? I mean, having all those stray cats around the castle?”
I said, “She’ll be dead by then, so who cares?”

“Mia,” she said. “How are—“ She cleared her throat. “How’s my mother taking it?”
“Mamaw?” I looked in Mamaw’s direction. The truth was, Mamaw was having the time of her life. She was thoroughly enjoying her gig as mother of the bride. So far, she’d gotten to dance with Prince Albert, who was there representing the royal family of Monaco, and Prince Andrew, who didn’t seem to be missing Fergie one bit, if you asked me.
“Um,” I said. “Mamaw’s . . .really mad at you.”

Sometimes family things are more important than friend things—even romance things.

Mr. Gianini told me today that he thought it would be all right for me to call him Frank now, considering the fact that we are practically related. But I just can’t bring myself to do it. So I just call him Hey. I go, “Hey, can you pass the parmesan?” and “Hey, have you seen the remote control?”
See? No names needed. Pretty clever, huh?

Lilly: You, Michael, are just jealous.
Michael: Oh, yeah. I’ve always wanted a big picture of myself in my underwear hanging up in Times Square.
[Actually, I think that is something I would really enjoy seeing, but Michael was, of course, being sarcastic.]

“Clarisse?” she said. “I still haven’t heard from them.”
Which is weird. Because Clarisse is Grandmère’s name.

Mrs. Sing, our Biology teacher, says it is physiologically impossible to die of either boredom or embarrassment, but I know that isn’t true, because I am experiencing heart failure right now.

I mean, it wasn’t like we were ever even alone with each other, unless you count when we were in the car, which I don’t, since Lars was there, too, looking out for Euro-trash terrorists who might feel compelled to kidnap me.

But Grandmère isn’t satisfied with the way the cosmetic technician (makeup lady) did my eyes. She says I look like a poulet. That means “hooker” in French. Or chicken. But when my Grandmère says it, it always means hooker.
Why can’t I have a nice, normal grandma, who makes rugelach and thinks I look wonderful no matter what I have on? Lilly’s grandma has never said the word hooker in her life, even in Yiddish. I know that for a fact.
