Some legends never die…

In The Grim Company, Luke Scull introduced a formidable and forbidding band of anti-heroes battling against ruthless Magelords and monstrous terrors. The adventure continues as the company—now broken—face new dangers on personal quests….

As Davarus Cole and his former companions were quick to discover, the White Lady’s victorious liberation of Dorminia has not resulted in the freedom they once imagined. Anyone perceived as a threat has been seized and imprisoned—or exiled to darker regions—leaving the White Lady’s rule unchallenged and absolute. But the White Lady would be wiser not to spurn her former supporters: Eremul the Halfmage has learned of a race of immortals known as the Fade, and if he cannot convince the White Lady of their existence, all of humanity will be in danger.

Far to the north, Brodar Kayne and Jerek the Wolf continue their odyssey to the High Fangs only to find themselves caught in a war between a… (tovább)

Luke Scull: Sword of the North

Szeretem Luke Scullt, mert

1, Jól érzem magam a világában.
4, A sztori totál kiszámíthatatlan.

U.i.: Kayne és Jerek a legjobbak.

Kayne sighed. He hated archers. They were little better than wizards, in his estimation, though at least most had the decency not to prance around in what was, when it came right down to it, a glorified dress.

Wild Country

He could remember a time when he had thought thirty was old. By forty, a man was past his prime. A man’s fighting days should be ancient history by fifty, stories to tell the grandchildren. Yet here he was into his sixth decade and still doing the same old shit, except now his body was falling apart and taking a piss was a tougher battle than killing a man.

Kayne hesitated. 'We could travel together,' he said eventually, knowing what he was letting himself in for. 'Until we're out of the Badlands. Ain't much further now.'
Right on cue, Jerek heaved a disgusted sigh.
'Fucking knew this would happen,' he rasped. 'Not even a quarter of the way to the Fangs and already we're collecting orphan bandits and green bastards like some kind of travelling circus. Might as well go back to Dorminia, find us a one-legged whore, maybe a troupe of midgets. Fuck's sake.'

Kenats had been a historian who had gained fame for presenting previously unknown facts about the Age of Legends. Later it had been discovered that he had fabricated almost everything he had written, employing an army of stooges to ‘corroborate’ his research. The fraud had ended up in a prison in Kingsport, and was eventually stabbed to death by a disgruntled inmate distraught to learn that the many-breasted wandering succubus did not in fact exist.
