Scotland, 1898
The Mackenzie’s gather for another family celebration of Christmas and Hogmanay. It will be a full house with all the Mackenzies and McBrides and their offspring, as well as friends and their families.
The house party gets off to an interesting start when Mac, painting in his studio late one night, swears he sees a ghost. The younger Mackenzies, aided by the Duchess of Kilmorgan, go on a ghost hunt.
Ian Mackenzie, who knows there are no ghosts, pursues a problem of his own–obtaining the perfect Hogmanay gift for Beth. But there are obstacles to his quest plus rivals for the priceless object who might get to it first.
