Jane Washington – Jaymin Eve: Neutral

Sometimes, the end is only the beginning.

Emmy was born a dweller and she expected to die as a dweller … until Willa changed everything. Now she has no idea of her path, and she certainly wasn't prepared for what would happen after her death. Caught in the middle of a war that threatened to prove much more significant than anyone had ever expected, there is only one person who can help her … but his terms are steep.

Cyrus was born out of necessity: a being of light, brought to life with a singular purpose. Time has changed him and the recent events have unsettled him … but a certain transformed dweller is about to do much worse than that. She is about to turn his existence upside down.

Topia is giving them no choice: they survive together, or the war is lost.

Jane Washington – Jaymin Eve: Neutral

Végre elvesztik a fejüket :D Jó kis átvezetés a következő részhez.

“Sacred Willa is being guarded and is not allowed visitors,” Donald informed me, sounding downright cheerful.
“Who is guarding her?” I asked, glancing down at myself.
I had only just noticed that I was wearing deep green robes, the colour almost inching toward blue. It wasn’t a colour I even recognised; it seemed to morph from blue to green as I moved my arm, shifting the robe around. Weird.
“Sacred Coen the Mighty and Painful, Sacred Rome the Great and Strong, Sacred Aros the Beautiful and Sexy, Sacred Yael who is better than the others, and Sacred Siret who told me all their proper titles.”

“Now take me to my sister or I will make your eternal life a living hell.”
He made a noise that had every hair on my arms standing on end. Cyrus could be scary when he Neutraled out. He stepped away from me and as he spun to head toward his bedroom, it sounded like he said you already are. But I must have misheard him. I wasn’t in his life enough to make it a living hell.

We were nearing the end of her allotted time and Willa still hadn’t decided on anything except that the Abcurse colours were eliminated, and that orange might be a hazard, because how will she know if she’s accidentally started another fire if she’s surrounded by orange? I had actually agreed with her on that point.

The dweller was stronger than I’d given her credit for. She was certainly far more intelligent than most of the gods I knew. And she had put up with Willa for many life-cycles. That took great mental and emotional fortitude.

Her words trailed off like she’d completely forgotten what she was going to say, and I grinned against her skin. Having her flustered was a novel experience; I liked that I was capable of making her lose control.

Vigyázat! Felnőtt tartalom.

Willa was a little more petite, her features somehow cute and beautiful at the same time. Emmy was beautiful and refined, the arch of her eyebrows defined, the cut of her cheekbones sharp.
Stunning.
I was too fucking distracted to be dealing with end-of-the-worlds dramas.

Willa started laughing, until she realised that the Abcurses had all gathered around her, frowns on their faces.
“What?” she asked them, spinning around. “Oh hell no. It was a joke, guys!”
“Why didn’t you tell us about the dweller wedlocking rule?” Yael asked, his green eyes narrowed almost dangerously. “Willa-toy, you belong to us. We should be wedlocked in the dweller way.”
“We are not having this conversation right now!” She tossed her hands up in the air, walked to my side and grabbed my arm before marching me toward the opening of the cave.
“Well that backfired,” I noted casually.
“Shut up,” she tossed back.

“If I annoy you that much, why the hell are you always around? Every time I turn the corner, there you are.”
“I –” I had no fucking idea how to answer that. I didn’t consciously search her out, that was for sure, and yet … she was right. I followed her around like some kind of besotted pet, insulting her at every chance and kissing her whenever she let her walls down enough for me to push through to her.
I had no idea what I was doing.

“Don’t you dare,” I warned him.
His eyes flashed back up to mine. “What?”
“Don’t you dare kiss me again.”
“Why the fuck not?” he growled.
“Because I think you’re a … terrible … person! And a drunk! It doesn’t matter that you’re sober now, you’re just a sober drunk!”
His lips twitched, almost curving into a smile. “And you’re just a bug, but I seem to recall you kissing me.”
“I’m allowed to. You’re not.”

“Do I have permission to touch you?” he asked, staring intently into my eyes. The only sound in the clearing at that moment was the boband just snuffling along, sucking up berries as it foraged.
I swallowed hard. “Touch me where?”
You had to always clarify things with gods, they were sneaky bastards.
Cyrus chuckled next to me, and I was pretty sure he said that’s my girl under his breath.
