Jackie Burke's future looks grim. She's been a flight attendant for twenty years and she's down to working for an island-hopping airline the day she lands in Palm Beach International with fifty grand and is taken into custody. The Feds know Jackie works for a man who sells machine guns to bad guys, but they don't know his name. Jackie looks at her options. Elmore Leonard: Rum Punch

Semmi különös, mégis működik. Csillagos ötös párbeszédek, jól megformált karakterek, feszes történet. Tarantino-film* lett belőle, és nincs magyarul: felfoghatatlan!

Hasznos tanács: spoiler

Louis would glance over his shoulder at the jack-boys, three big kids, their heads and shoulders moving with the motion of the van. Quiet, serious in the gloom back there. Like migrants being taken to work, except for the Chinese machinge guns they held.

Bread said the Mag his customer wanted had a seven and a half-inch full lug barrel on it, whatever the fuck that meant. Was this the one? Cujo asked was he suppose to bring a ruler with him breaking in a house to measure the weapon with? Bread said, „No, man, you don't need a ruler.” He said, „You know how long your bone is, don't you? Take it out, lay the piece alongside your bone, and figure the difference.”
