Bill Watterson: The Complete Calvin and Hobbes

Hihetetlen, de befejeztem! :)

Bill Watterson: The Complete Calvin and Hobbes

A legjobb képregény a világon, számomra.

Bill Watterson: The Complete Calvin and Hobbes

Ráadásul mindezt a legpimaszabb humorral fűszerezve. :)

[Hobbes] I suppose if we couldn't laugh at things that don't make sense, we couldn't react to a lot of life.

[Calvin] It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Calvin: Any monsters under my bed tonight?!
Monsters: Nope! No! Uh-uh!
Calvin: Well, there'd better not be! I'd hate to have to torch one with my flame thrower!
Hobbes: You have a flame thrower??
Calvin: They lie. I lie.

[Calvin]: County Library? Yes, do you have any books on home made bombs?… That's what I said. I need a book that lists supplies and gives step-by-step instructions for building, rigging, and detonating them… Well what about your other branches? Don't THEY have any books like that? (finished the call) Boy, and people wonder why kids don't read.

Calvin: Mom's not feeling well, so I'm making her a „get well” card.
Hobbes: That's thoughtful of you.
Calvin: See, on the front it says, „Get well soon.” … and on the inside it says, „because my bed isn't made, my clothes need to be put away, and I'm hungry.” … „Love, Calvin.” Want to sign it?
Hobbes: Sure, I'm hungry too.

Calvin: Where's dad?
Calvin's mom: He's in the living room, making a fire.
Calvin: A fire! Oh, boy! … Oh, in the fireplace…

[Calvin] – These are interesting times. We don't trust the government, we don't trust the legal system, we don't trust the media, and we don't trust each other! We've undermined all authority, and with it, the basis for replacing it!
[Hobbes] – „Interesting” is a mild way of putting it.
[Calvin] – It's like a six-year-old's dream come true!

[Calvin] – How come grown-ups don't go out to play?
[Dad] – Grown-ups can only justify playing outside by calling it exercise, doing it when they'd rather not, and keeping records to quantify their performance.
[Calvin] – That sounds like a job.
[Dad] – Except you don't get paid.
[Calvin] – So play is worse than work?
[Dad] – Being a grown-up is tough.

Calvin: Memoirs of a six-year-old
My life has been a fascinating series of amazing exploits, about which I have many profound insights. But frankly, none of it is any of your darn business, so butt out! The End

Calvin: Hey, Mom, I got a part in the class play! I get to say a line, and everything.
Calvin's mom: That's wonderful, calvin.
Calvin. It's a great dramatic role! My character will have everyone in tears at the end of the second act!
Calvin's mom: What's the play?
Calvin: „Nutrition and the four food groups.” I'm an onion.

Susie: Do you have your line memorized for the nutrition play, Calvin?
Calvin: I'm still learning it. being an onion is a difficult role, you know. What are you?
Susie: I'm „fat”.
Calvin: No, I mean in the play.
