Az embervadászat és következményei elég drasztikus képi világot eredményeznek, a hullahegy megmászásának jelenete konkrétan csak erősebb gyomrúaknak ajánlott. Maga a történet nem halad igazán sokat előre, elsősorban a mentőakció első mozzanatait láthatjuk. Közben rövidke villanásokra fel-feltűnik a többi szereplő is, ki ezzel ki azzal foglalatoskodva éppen, de a hangsúly most is Shion és Patkány kettősén van. Egyelőre No.6 komoly és legyőzhetetlen ellenfélnek látszik, de majd kiserül, mire lesznek képesek hőseink a későbbiekben.
