Seth Diodoros személy
Marcus took a deep breath. „Alex, what happened exactly?”
„I've already told you everything. I ran into her in the garden. She was talking one second and the next, she just sort of poofed-”
„She poofed?” Seth laughed. He lounged in the corner, arms folded across his chest, and that damn smile plastered across his face. „Seriously?”
„Yes, she poofed. Like she was there one second and the next she was a pile of dust.”
„We just don't poof, Alex. That doesn't happen.”
“You should never relax your hold.” Then he flipped me off his shoulder. I hit the mat with a loud grunt. “Aw, did you just fall?”
„No.” I rolled onto my back, wincing. „I attacked the floor.”
“You know what?” His breath was warm against my cheek. “There are a lot of stupid things to do, but I really want to do the stupidest thing possible.”
„I want to kiss you.”
Seth moved behind me, taking my hand and placing it against the spot the latest mark had appeared. „Feel it in here. Do you?”
Feel the cord? Check. I also liked the fact that he was now blocking the worst of the wind.
„Okay. Picture the cord unraveling, feel it coming alive.”
I had a feeling Seth was enjoying this way too much, considering how was pressed against me.
„Yeah, I feel the cord.” I did feel it opening up, slithering through my veins.
„Good. The cord is not just us,” he said softly. „It's akasha – the fifth and final element. You should feel akasha now. Tap into it. Picture what you want in your mind.”
I wanted a taco, but I doubted akasha could serve me up some Taco Bell. Gods, I'd do some terrible things for Taco Bell right about now.
„Alex, are you paying attention?”
„Of course.” I smirked.
I rolled my eyes. “Oh, so they’re going to make the dorms co-ed? Yeah, that is going to go over well. Everyone’s going to be having sex.”
“Sounds like my kind of place.” Seth grinned. “Maybe I can get a transfer.”
“Do you ever take anything seriously?”
He was, after all, the First Apollyon of our generation. According to my stepfather, Seth and I were fated to be together in some weird, energy transfer way. According to me, Seth was a pain in my—
Seth inclined his head in my direction and winked. I leaned back and focused on the Guards below. Seth and I weren’t getting along at the moment. In our last training session, he’d “accidentally” hit me with a blast of pure energy and I’d “accidentally” thrown a rock at his head.
“Well, sorry. I don’t know how to stop it. If I did, I wouldn’t interrupt your precious beauty sleep.”
Seth chuckled low in his throat. “I guess it’s because the connection between us is getting stronger since we’re spending more time together. With you being an emotional wreck these days, I spend half my time wanting a Valium.”
