Julian Marrero személy
A csillagok kicsit közelebb húzódtak a földhöz. Scarlett és Julian párosát figyelve, és reménykedve, hogy olyan csók szemtanúja lett, aminek akkora a varázsereje, akár a Caravalé(…).
“Whatever you ask, the answer is yes.” She threw her arms around his neck.
His hands tightened around her waist in response. “What if I asked for half your kingdom?”
“Then I’d say you could have all of it. Everything that’s mine is yours, Julian.”
“What about these?” He touched her lips.
“Especially those.” To prove it, Scarlett pressed her mouth to his. “Now you’re mine as well.”
He pulled back just enough to give her a wicked grin. “I’ve always been yours, Crimson.”
She remembered thinking falling for him would be like falling in love with darkness, but now she imagined he was more like a starry night: the constellations were always there, constant, magnificent guides against the ever-present black.
Inside the house, violin music, richer than the darkest chocolate, started playing. It seeped outside and whispered to Scarlett as Julian’s smile turned seductive, all shameless curves and immoral promises. An invitation to places that proper young ladies didn’t think about, let alone visit.
Julian's head fell back.
„No!” Beneath her hands, Scarlett felt his chest fall a final time.
„Julian. Julian. Julian!” She pressed her hands to his heart but nothing moved.
Scarlett didn't know how many times she repeated his name. She said it like a prayer. A plea. A whisper. A good-bye.
