Sir Jacob Frye (fl. 1847 – 1916) was a Master Assassin of the British Brotherhood of Assassins, active in London during the Victorian era, and the younger twin brother of Evie Frye. He later became a member of Queen Victoria's Order of the Sacred Garter, and the grandfather of Lydia Frye.

Born in Crawley, where they were raised as Assassins from birth, Jacob and his sister traveled to London to take the city back from the Templars after their father died of natural causes.

Alongside Evie, Jacob led the Rooks, a criminal syndicate opposing the Templar-backed Blighters. While his sister would primarily pursue the Shroud of Eden, Jacob assassinated various prominent Templars to destroy Grand Master Crawford Starrick's influence within the city.

– Evie Frye – dorgálta meg Jacob a nővérét. – Ezt meg kitől örökölted?
– Ugyanattól, akitől te, Jacob – válaszolta a lány.

Jacob félbeszakította.
– Mindig is úgy gondoltam, fantasztikus bandavezér lehetnék. Kemény, de igazságos. Szigorú öltözködési szabályt vezetnék be. Egy név alatt egyesíteném a jogfosztott kívülállókat. Ez az, Evie. Az oldalunkra állíthatjuk a bandákat.
Evie rávetette jól begyakorolt szemrehányó pillantását.
– Á, tényleg? Úgy, ahogy azokat a kártyásokat is a folyóba állítottad az Oakbrook fogadóban?
– Az más volt. Megvertek whistben. – A távolba meredt. – Már látom magam előtt. Bástyáknak hívjuk majd magunkat.
– Sosem voltál jó sakkban sem – jegyezte meg Evie, és fivére viselkedéséért bocsánatkérően Henryre sandított.

– Két orgyilkos – mondta Henry egy tetőn állva, ahonnan a fél várost be lehetett látni. – Ugyanolyan magasak. Az egyik nő a másik férfi. Két évtized idősek, és ördögi mosolyuk van. Ti csakis a Frye ikrek lehettek.

A train clattered slowly past and blew its whistle.
“What’s stopping us?” said Jacob nodding at it. “London is waiting to be liberated. Forget Crawley.”
“Father would have wanted us to listen . . .”
“Oh, Father. You could continue his legacy in London.”
“Freeing future generations from a city ruled by Templars. You know, Jacob Frye, you might just be right.”
“Then, shall we?”
“Yes, let’s.”
With that, the two of them ran and boarded the train, bound for London. There, they decided, they would meet Henry Green, a man about whom they had no knowledge. “The Assassin watching over London,” was what they had been told. They knew nothing of his true history.
