The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld 4.) 4 csillagozás
Bound by the demon of Doubt, Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confident of lovers.
So the immortal warrior spends his time on the battlefield instead of the bedroom, victory his only concern…until he meets Gwendolyn the Timid. One taste of the beautiful redhead, and he craves more.
Gwen, an immortal herself, always thought she'd fall for a kind human who wouldn't rouse her darker side. But when Sabin frees her from prison, battling their enemies for the claim to Pandora's box turns out to be nothing compared to the battle Sabin and Gwen will wage against love.

Kedvencnek jelölte 1
A kedvenc könyvem a sorozatból! Amikor nekiültem elolvasni, még nem gondoltam volna, hogy pont Sabin lesz az a pasi, akitől elalélok.:D Ráadásul Gwen is érdekes szereplőnek bizonyult. valamiért kifejezetten élveztem a hárpiákat ebben a történetben. Ők a kedvenc párom is, utánuk szorosan egymás mellett a Lucien-Anja és Reyes-Danika páros következik.
“Invite your sisters? You mean you want me to have to deal with more of you?”
“That had better be happiness in your tone, not disgust,” she said, offended. “My sisters have castrated men for less.”
Sabin pinched the bridge of his nose. “Sure. Invite them. Gods save us all.”
“I told you to be naked when I got here. You were not a good boy.”
Used to her sorrowful voice, he didn’t flinch as the others always did. Inwardly or outwardly. That voice was a part of who she was—warrior to her core, beautiful disaster…unintentional nightmare. To him, it was a soulful melody, one that echoed within his own soul.
Chapter 7 - Cameo & Torin
Staggered, Aeron’s knees gave out and he plopped onto the cold tile. The enormity of Paris’s actions settled like a heavy weight across his shoulders. “Why would you do such a thing?”
Chapter 15 - Aeron & Paris
“What you doing here, anyway? Me want to play catch and claw.”
“I can’t. Not yet. I have to help Paris.”
“Oh, oh.” She clapped excitedly again, long nails clacking together. “Let’sss play with him!”
“No.” He hated to deny her, but he liked his friends alive. And when it came to Legion and games, death was usually involved. “I need him.”
A moment passed in silence. Then she sighed. “Fine. Me be bored just for you.”
Chapter 15 - Legion & Aeron
“Move even an inch, and I’ll take your goddamn head off.”
Sabin came awake instantly. Cold steel pressed into his jugular, a bead of blood trekking down his neck. His bedroom was dark, the curtains over the window drawn. He drew in a breath and caught a scent—female. The intruder smelled of ice and wintry skies. Her long hair tickled his bare chest. (…)
The other Harpies had arrived.
Finally, she was resting. Truly resting. And all he’d had to do was pleasure her senseless, he thought dryly. Then he grinned. If he had to, he would pleasure her senseless every night. Girl needed her rest, after all. And (cough, cough) he was used to making sacrifices.
